Last week, the Colorado Family Medicine residency project held its biannual learning collaborative. A partnership between HealthTeamWorks®, Colorado Association of Family Medicine Residencies (CAFMR), and the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine, the event content was developed by the CAFMR QI workgroup. The workgroup includes members from 11 residency practices.

The event was kicked off with a panel of graduated residents and staff talking about the impact of PCMH training in a primary care setting. The panelists discussed important PCMH components in primary care practice settings. The subsequent sessions provided practices with an opportunity to share best practices and lessons leaned in QI work to date.

The afternoon was the second annual Rocky Mountain Research Forum, with 52 residents sharing their QI research projects in both oral and poster presentation formats. In support of resident learning, participants provide real time feedback to residents about their presentations skills, content and delivery.

The event was a great success, with an unprecedented attendance of 200.
