I am both honored and excited to be the newly elected HealthTeamWorks^® Board Chairperson.

I am HONORED because of the impressive progress HealthTeamWorks^® has already made toward helping advanced primary care physicians (PCPs) deliver on the quadruple aim of better population health, better patient experience, better physician vitality and better per capita health care cost. It truly takes a village of wise and engaged people to facilitate these important outcomes. Kudos to our HealthTeamWorks^® team of associates, management and leadership that have accomplished important transformational changes for our health care delivery system. They are truly an amazing team of people.

I am EXCITED because there is no other organization better positioned to continue to lead the charge toward a more mainstream high performing advanced PCP model. This has clearly been proven to be the backbone of every successful integrated delivery network of hospitals, physicians and clinicians, e.g. IDNs, ACOs, CINs. With more than 20 years of experience and wide breadth of expertise, HealthTeamWorks^® has the wisdom and proven results necessary to achieve the healthcare quadruple aim.

After graduating with a BSBA in Statistics, Tom went on to become the Director of Actuarial and Underwriting for a local non-profit Blues Plan. He subsequently held executive leadership positions at United Health, Cigna and Aetna. Tom consults with Accountable Care Organizations in his current role as Senior Vice President with Continental Benefits and remains focused on the health care triple aim of better population health, better patient experience, and a better per capita cost.
