Ako Quammie

Ako has comprehensive subject matter expertise in the implementation, development, interoperability, and support of electronic health record systems in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Ako currently works for the Colorado Governor’s office of Information Technology where he is leading the State’s efforts around EHR and HIE adoption and implementation. Ako has led the development of clinical IT solutions for both the Colorado's State Innovation Model (SIM) and Integrated Physician Network, a 200+ clinically integrated network in the Denver metro area. Ako has unique talent as a "Universal Translator" between the HIT environment and clinical care with a forte in designing efficient electronic workflows and care team documentation optimized for analytics and quality-based payment.
